Setup - FTP
While the support desk does not support 3rd party FTP programs, there are some basic setups for the common FTP programs out there. If you do not have a domain (i.e www.mydomainname.com) or a user page (www.netwurx.net/~userid) you can give us a call to discuss setting one up. WSFTP1. Open WSFTP under session properties fill in - Host name , www.yourdomainname.com or if its a user page it will just be www.netwurx.net - User id - Password 2. Click ok. 3. After the program logs you in you will see a screen with file folder on the left and on the right. Locate the folder on the right called www or Public_HTML and open it. Locate a copy of your web content on the left hand side (this is your computer) 4. Highlight the files on the left you want to publish to our sever and click the arrow in the middle pointing to the right hand side. 5. Once your files are in there you should be able to surf over to your domain or userpage and pull them up. Remember the very front page of your website has to be nammed index.htm or index.html in order for you to see it when you surf to either www.yourdomain.com or www.netwurx.net/!username.
Cute FTP1. Open the Cuteftp Site Manager (The icon that looks like a book on the toolbar). 2. Click on the Add site button. 3. Enter the following settings. - The Host Address is www.yourdomainname.com or www.netwurx.net if it is a userpage. 4. Click connect to connect to our server. The window is split into four sections. The top section is the status area, this informs you of what is happening and the results. Under the status area is the Local and Remote Drives. 5. To disconnect click on the icon that looks like two black two pin plugs pulled apart on the toolbar, when you are disconnected they will show as greyed out (disconnected).
